here]He slipped silently down the hallway, flashlight (turned off) in hand, as he couldn't fit it into a pocket with both the bulky radio as well as the gun. A hassle, but bearable. Having a portable source of light handy with him while wandering dark corridors was actually rather helpful, even if normally, Vino wouldn't have bothered with it

Gant didn't waste any time moving through the block hallway. It was easy enough, getting to the next door, what with his room being so close. He could work on getting patsy when he got to one of the more well-traveled halls. For now, he just needed to get a move on.

It was only a hop and a skip to where he was supposed to go, and wasn't that the phrase to be used? It seemed near all resided in this section; enough for Albedo to wonder what issues he would eventually gain from this man as well. Rubedo slept here, night after night, Klavier could be found and tormented here, if Albedo wished, and now there was Peter. The man who could not feel pain with such a mundane name. Who, the boy had learned, was moderately fun to play with. He wondered if he had the energy for it.
He had arrived before the man, and so he waited to the side of the door. The two knives on his belt were hanging at his back out of sight, and so apparently, the child had arrived with nothing. Knives, bullets in his pockets, and a gun again soon enough. Far be it for a weapon to stay powerless for long. He was relearning habits--keeping man's tools of use close at hand.

Likely not. If anything, it had likely been forgotten in the man's closet or something. Perhaps he had somewhere to go, or perhaps Albedo's little friendliness on the board was still having an effect? The boy couldn't know. "By any rate, I should thank you, mm?" Deliberately, he batted his lashes. "Any payment preferred?"

Any thought of repayment seemed ridiculous to him, though. The gun ending up in his possession was an accident, and as he'd just said, it hadn't been any extra effort for him to deliver it. "Not at all," he replied with a shake of his head. "Just... be careful using that." In the end, he ended up giving some sort of advice anyway. Oh well, he didn't think it was that out of line.

Having expected this hall to still be empty, Sora was surprised to find a familiar face occupying it instead. Albedo. He still didn't know what to make of Junior and Nigredo's brother, seeing how they had only spoken once, but they were still relative strangers and so that meant that he could have ignored him if he wanted to. Even if Albedo was a bad person, though, it would have felt rude not to acknowledge him in some way, especially since he was standing right by the door that Sora needed to go through. For that reason, Sora gave the other boy a quick wave, figuring that it was better than nothing.
With that taken care of, he slipped through the door, knowing that he didn't have the time to get caught up in a conversation right now.

Riku quickly realized the odds that he might run into Sora if he was still here. They took a similar path down before for all their meeting places, but as he glanced out toward the hall, he just saw a door closing in the distance and a guy with white hair. He seemed younger than Riku, and if he was right, he was probably waiting for someone. That was the way this worked-people were rarely disturbed. The oddity of it for him was the fact that he didn't seem to be functioning any different. With something waiting for them off in the distance, they could just meet like it was nothing. Then again, it wasn't always a good idea to work alone. Even Riku realized the use of having someone at your back-or someone protecting you if you couldn't handle it.
He decided not to bother with him and continued on, his steps taking to a trot as he moved.

Locke didn't stop to talk to any of the people in his hallway, choosing instead to head right for the main hallway, but, now that he was here, he had no clue which way to head.
He could either go the way he'd gone last night and see what, if anything, had changed, or he could go in a new direction and see where that took him.
Which way to go...?

Edgar turned the corner sharply, leaving his light off for now. He'd gotten a later start than intended, having debated whether he'd test his tools or magic this night. The latter won in the end, as it had a physical toll on him- he needed to master his condition as quickly as possible, lest he continue to be a hindrance to any group he traveled with. A sigh escaped him as he was reminded of how he ought to apologize to Ryuuzaki and Lunge for practically wasting the night.
In the darkness, Edgar passed a figure he recognized, though it took a second to realize it. He was already two steps away before he stopped and turned, raising an eyebrow in surprise. Surely enough, his eyes weren't playing tricks on him. "Locke!" A grin graced him in spite of the heat and the raspy quality of his voice. "And just where have you been hiding? I know you're not much for letters, but you could at least let me know you're still alive every once in a while."

"Edgar! You're here too...I don't know if I should be happy 'bout that, but I am." After twenty-four hours with no sign of his friends, Locke had begun to feel very lost and alone in this place.
Locke took a step closer, trying to see his friend better in the dark; something didn't seem right, not only what he said but how he said it. "Are you okay? You don't sound very good."

Edgar's brow furrowed. Like Locke didn't remember ever being at the institute. If that was true, then he had been 'released' after all. Edgar ran a hand through his hair as his grin turned wry, knowing he'd seen this play out before: at that time, it was Celes doing the asking and the king himself who didn't remember. That was one difference, but what was the other?
"It's a long story," Edgar replied quickly to cut off his initial question, putting up a hand in reassurance. "Tell me, how long have you been here?"
