Brunch had tasted delicious as usual, but he still felt guilty for enjoying it when so many other patients weren't as fortunate as him and Ritsuka. Still, he'd be lying if he said he wasn't grateful for his meals. His appetite had been pretty spotty during the week after his "sleep study", so Claude wanted to think he was making up for lost time

So it was The Great Escape that had won. Guy smiled when he heard that, mainly because he got the feeling that most patients had voted for it on the name alone. It looked like that included Claude as well ( ... )

He had the feeling that this movie might not come with free food, but there was no harm in hoping. Besides, if there was anywhere in this heinous facility that promised decent food of a satisfactorily tasty, unhealthy and totally un-nutritious nature, a movie viewing would definitely be his best bet ( ... )

Actually, he had to admit that the teen reminded him a little of himself at that age, mainly due to his young features and out of control hair. Peter smiled and nodded at him, motioning for him to sit on the other side of the couch. It could have fit three people comfortably, after all.
It was kind of depressing to watch a movie alone, so maybe this was for the best.
"Looks like it's gonna start soon," he said as the lights dimmed further. "The name's Peter, by the way." His hand was extended to the young man almost automatically.

"I'm Ted," he said, returning the smile. "It's great to meet you, dude!"
He glanced around at the dimming lights. "Do you know what movie we're watching?" he asked in a half-whisper. There was something about darkened movie theaters that made him feel like he should be quiet, even though this wasn't really a movie theater.
He still had so many other questions to ask, but he figured those could wait.

He took a seat in a chair with a good view of the screen of the cobbled-together theater, hoping the one called The Great Escape would be the one they'd be showing today. It sounded like something that would be exciting, at least-and maybe it'd even have a couple of tips for getting out of this place for good. Even if Prussia was confident in his ability to escape on his own (and he was confident, really), it wouldn't hurt to get a couple of ideas.
Waiting for the movie to get started, Prussia settled in. Even if a different movie had been picked in the end, at least this would be a good way to kill time until dinner-and to stop him from wondering if Hungary was going to come visit him again.

So far, so good. England had said something about the film instead of that night.
"Why's that?" he asked. All Quiet on the Western Front was one thing, but the rest of the titles were complete mysteries to him. There was that one that was (presumably) about a Stalag (but the title alone was barely anything to go on), and that Dr. Strangelove one sounded kind of weird. "Have you seen them in the future or something?"

He felt listless and disoriented, out of place and the flickers he saw of other creatures at the side of his vision weren't helping. Watching a human FunRom would be suitably mindless and not very difficult, and he was curious about human entertainment after all. So this time, he decided to spend his time in the Sun Room. Maybe it'd help wake him up a little.

He was practically skipping. Did he want to do music today, or some paper folding, or maybe a card game? Wait, there was that movie today, wasn't it? Carter happily wandered into the Sun Room, looking for someone he'd need to explain the plot to.
Aha, there was Admiral ZEX! He hadn't seen ZEX in a few days, they should reconnect. Carter flopped down beside him, a big grin on his face. "Hi!" he whispered gleefully.

"Oh, hello again." ZEX took a moment, then tried his best to give him a smile. It was hard to remember to do that, even after all this time. Using those muscles in his face that way always felt... strange. But it comforted humans to see it, and as odd as it may have been, the gesture should have matched his mood. If he remembered correctly. "I'm glad to see you're still here. Have you been well?"
He still felt somewhat distant and foggy-headed. In an effort to clear his thoughts, he tried to study Carter's body in the dark. It was hard to make him out, but he could still at least admire the broad lines of his body.

Carter sat back in his chair, nearly twitching with excitement. And now it was time for a movie. "Hey, which one is this?" he asked, leaning to the side and whispering. "I came in late and missed the title." Some of them had sounded suspiciously like the story of his time in Stalag 13. If they'd accidentally brought in the Unsung Heroes' biography that would just be the neatest thing ever.
He'd expected maybe a book. But a full movie would just be the best thing ever. He'd be a celebrity around Landel's.

...however, where was he supposed to begin?
The Sun Room was somewhat familiar to the prosecutor after he had spent his morning there, and he found himself wandering back inside after he had finished his brunch, his eyes moving to the movie projector and the couches lined up with several patients milling about to get a seat. Edgeworth didn't really have much of an interest in movies, much less when he was in this sort of circumstance, but then he had no indication of where he should wander off to either. The memory of his discussion with Anise the day before tugged at the forefront of his thoughts, the constant reminder ( ... )

He wasn't sure which one he preferred, honestly. They both gave him a damn headache.
Sam would've preferred to take the book he'd bought yesterday so he could do some more work with it, but apparently, even institute-approved bought items were getting confiscated during the day. Go figure.
Which was how he wound up in the Sun Room instead, passing by it on his way to the library so he could check the board. There was never anything much these days-most news was reiterated and while Sam kept as many stats as he could, he knew the dangers of having way too much information.
So he hadn't been looking for anything specific-but he stopped looking as soon as he caught the name Lelouch at the edge of his vision. Oh. This was going to make his day. He'd thought the kid had vanished? He'd come back? With his ( ... )

He was relieved then when he was approached, though he didn't offer much more than a slight, cordial nod and a glance to the door. "Ah, I'm...as well as could be expected," he answered, the corner of his lip tensing as he considered his current location. "I wouldn't say that I'm lost, really, but I...don't exactly know my way around, either."

Or you know. The middle of the night.
Sam scratched the back of his neck. "Were you looking anything specific? I was just gonna-" He gestured somewhere over his shoulder. "-go into the library. You could come with if you wanted."
Escaping the movie, in other words. He didn't feel like sitting through what was basically a two-hour warning from the institute of What Not To Do (Unless You Have A Death Wish). Though admittedly, the movies were useful in their own way. The fact that they were all classics, for example, in the same way most of the books were classics, minus those ubiquitous best seller type novels.
"I'm Sam, by the way," he added.
