And behind door number two was, surprise! Another empty hallway. Okay, so he was definitely either really early or really late. Normally he'd have glimpsed at least one other person by now, even if it was just a quick look at them as they ran the hallway gauntlet ahead of him.
Which, speaking of running, would have made the whole thing go a lot faster. Wally missed being able to just speed through all the different hallways in a few minutes and get to the more interesting areas. Where something generally tried to eat him but, hey, at least it wasn't boring?
...though boring was probably better in some ways. Less chance of death. In theory, anyway. Some of the longer shifts he'd gotten on the Watchtower did make him wonder if dying from boredom was possible.
The next doorway loomed ahead after what seemed like far too long when compared to Wally's memories of running through the same halls, and he sighed as he slipped through and into the exciting world of...
