[From
here.]He had reached the meeting point in less than a few minutes and there was still not another patient to be seen. Castiel paused, standing near the wall as he moved his flashlight up and down the corridor. There was nothing, not the sound of a shadow slipping through the dark; not the whisper of something less than human

Now in the main hallway, Sai stopped. He didn't immediately see anyone else from his group meaning he'd either missed them (which was highly unlikely) or that they had yet to arrive. He just needed to stand out of the way of the main crowd now, somewhere his fellow ninja would still be able to see him, and wait for the others to arrive. Any spot along the wall would do, so he picked a spot and stood to wait.
As he waited, he watched the others passing in the hall. There were some familiar faces, but many that he just didn't recognize. How many new patients had come and gone while he hardly noticed, he wondered. The ninja had been focused heavily on his own goals recently, which was probably good in many ways but still meant he wasn't learning as much about others as he used to. Perhaps he should change that in the near future.

The young man was able to beat him out by a hallway, but thankfully for Brook Sai held up in the larger hallway, giving the musician time to catch up.
"Hey, Sai-san!" he tried from down the hallway, hand waving once again as it sent the flashlight beam back and forth. He dropped it once he was close enough and huffed from the quick sprint he'd just managed. "Are you always so quick in the evening?" he wondered aloud, then smiled at his friend, "Not that it's a bad thing. Do you need any help for the evening?"
Brook would leave if Sai wanted him to, of course, since he never wanted to impose, but that didn't mean he wouldn't worry over his friends. Those were so important in a place like this.

It would certainly be safer to come this way. It was rare for any monsters to appear in the main hall, and yet it was commonplace for them to appear in the rec field. The pirate was taking a risk for the sake of speed, but he supposed the distance wasn't all that long.
He nodded in greeting. "You were coming along anyway, correct?"

While his snow angel had been a matter of spontaneity, he thought it was a good thing to blame his pathway on. He didn't want Sai feeling bad just because Brook had needed to catch up with him. His speed was supposed to be a good thing, especially in these hallways.
"And I didn't want to impose if you'd ended up with other plans. Some things tend to change after the... er... field trip..." Memories of the walking undead caused Brook's smile to nearly fade completely before he shook his head of them. "But I'm always happy to help if you need me!"

Sakura hurried down the hall to the meeting point, immediately spotting Sai and his much taller companion. That strange man again. Brook, wasn't it? She flipped her hair once more, thoroughly enjoying the feel of well-conditioned hair beneath her fingers. Would they notice? Perhaps Sasuke wouldn't be able to see the sheen in her hair to appreciate it, but surely he'd be able to appreciate the scent. And- Sasuke wasn't even here yet! So she wasn't too late after all.
"Did I make you wait?" she asked, partly curious, partly in apology.

If not, they'd simply have to keep trying until they were successful. The powers that be, as it were, seemed determined to keep them, or perhaps just Sai with the way things had been going, from making any real leeway. He wasn't going to halt his attempts just because of this.

"Will any others be joining us?" he questioned to either of them, "Do you know?"

How the hell did that guy fit in?
His appearance was an offence from across a cafeteria, but in close proximity the vampire had to fight back a groan. He didn’t think he’d ever warm up to the abrupt changes in company he was keeping while in Landel’s, or the prospects of untried blood magic ( ... )

She'd really only seen the guy from a distance and... okay he was pretty freaking hot. Not as hot as Sasuke of course, but he definitely had a good shot in the running. Sakura chose to ignore the the words he chose; Sasuke was usually just as abrupt and to-the-point, but the important part was, he wanted to hold her hand. In front of Sasuke? Was she just a pawn to make his lover jealous? Or perhaps an interesting new addition to their ( ... )

As a grasping of hands appeared to be necessary for whatever method of transportation Sasuke was using (one that involved the rings from before, presumably), the ninja didn't hesitate to grab Brook's and pull him toward the others. He took Sasuke's other hand in his free one, the one Sakura wasn't making obvious moves toward. This wasn't to avoid holding Aidou's hand, of course. That would be making an unnecessary preference.

"Transport, you said?" he asked, only to suddenly get grabbed and pulled near to the rest by none other than Sai. "Eh? H-hold on a minute...!"
