She was almost there. It didn't take very long for Anise to reach this hall, so with luck, she would manage to get to her destination before Guy or Claude did.
For a moment, she wondered if they heard about Natalia yet. Maybe Anise could be the bearer of good news for a change. And hey, maybe this was a sign that their rotten luck was finally going to turn around for them. A girl could always hope, right?

Wider hallway. It was still dark, but he thought he heard vague noises not that far away from him. There was an opening up ahead to his right, and Ted picked up his pace.

Snow went through the door and continued down the hall, trying to figure out where to go. It was just one building. And Lightning had to be in there somewhere, right? If he looked around, he'd have to run into her eventually. If he didn't, it meant she must be outside the building. Then, he'd just search there. It seemed pretty simple to him. So he wasn't exactly worried about never finding her ever. It was more where to start looking.
...Guess he'd just start everywhere. There was another room section around here somewhere, right? He'd just check there. Let's see... Yup! There was a door right here. ...He more felt the door than saw it since, you know, searching blind in the dark and all.

There was a little more foot traffic as he came out into the hallway, and no one yelling, thankfully. He eyed the corridor, still not chancing turning on his flashlight. There had been nasty things lurking around the last time he'd been in these halls, and he didn't want to attract any unwanted attention. Instead, he concentrated on getting to the meeting place with Leela.

Great ancestors! What manner of place was this? Tolten steadied his breathing and cast his eyes about the corridor, feeling another sinking in his stomach. Nothing familiar or helpful. Nothing but darkness and foul air and strange smells....
But none of that could be allowed to keep him from pressing on.
