The kid had a point. Earth was... sort of a boring name, whereas Gaia just fit somehow. Zack had to admit that talking about home made him miss it all the more, even though he realized that there wasn't a place for him there anymore. He was lucky enough to have gotten that chance to see it, real or not, when he had been teleported there with Cloud and Yuffie

It wasn't as if Zack could force the kid to come along with him, so while he was a little worried, he had to assume that Hope could take care of himself. It wasn't as if the soldiers were going to let him get into any serious trouble, after all. Zack nodded to the boy, figuring that that kind of independence was a good sign either way.
"All right. Just take care of yourself. Don't stay out here too long." He grinned at the kid and patted him on the shoulder briefly. Hope was a bit reserved, but a lot of kids his age were; Zack was sure he'd be just fine in the long run.
Well, provided they could get out of here.
After giving Hope one last wave, Zack took off through the snow, his coupon for the Twin Pines restaurant in his gloved hand. A hot plate of food sounded like Heaven right then.
