Night 55: East of the Institute

[from here]

The institute was behind them now, though it was going to be a long while before its looming silhouette would disappear from view.

Anise was rather happy to be taking the lead, especially after what little help she was to the group last night. Even if losing her memories wasn't her fault, she felt that she needed to make up for it. It was lucky that her chance to do so came this soon.

The falling snow made it even harder than usual to see what was around them, but Anise was confident that they were going in the right direction. The bad part was that they'd be easier to ambush, so Anise made sure to stay close to the others (though not too close to Guy).

"It sure got cold fast," she muttered, pressing her flashlight-holding hand against her ear. It wasn't a great way to warm up her poor, exposed ears, but it gave her some small relief from the cold air. The others were probably worse off than she was as far as that went, though, so she couldn't complain too much.
