Suddenly a flurry of white fur against white snow, and a cloud of thick, noxious miasma exploded right in front of Facilier as he made his attempt at the wall. The cackling grew louder, to deafening volumes, just before it cut off completely, and then the wind picked up just a little. After half a minute, the cloud cleared, and a tall figure stood with his back leaned against the wall wearing a baboon skin; all that was visible beneath the baboon's face was his own knowing smirk, lips twisted in a cruel smile.
"I'm afraid you're headed the wrong way, sir," the monster with the sweet voice finally said, the smirk remaining. He took a step forward, letting his natural intimidation flow through the air. "Your room is back that way." He started to lift a hand from under the pelt.
Obnoxious humans, Naraku couldn't help thinking as his body tensed beneath the baboon's pelt, sneering inwardly. When will they learn from ( ... )

The sudden cackling set Facilier off into a full-out scramble for the wall; that chilling laughter would have been enough to turn the softly falling snowflakes into icy pelts of hail. Something other than snow and ice was stirring in the air, and it did nothing to calm the fleeing doctor's nerves. If it was who Facilier thought it was...
Another panicked gasp escaped Facilier as he nearly tripped over himself as his long legs struggled through the unfamiliar terrain. The wall was just within reach, but a flash of fur blurred through the snowy air, shortly followed by a great puff of smoke that exploded into existence right before Facilier's eyes. Both doctor and Shadow skidded to a stop before the dark plume of magic, trembling and wheezing on the spot as the conjurer of the smoke revealed himself.
A mask... It was the first thing Facilier noticed about the man shrouded in thick coats of fur. At first he had mistaken it to be one of his "friends", having finally arrived to take him away, for better or for worse. But the ( ... )
