Penelo worried that there might be an unwelcomed guest lurking in the darkness, especially since the door was (sort of) locked. But to her relief, there wasn't one immediately present

Kazuo poked around, looking to see if the unifroms had pockets. "A leftover syringe would be handy," he said. "See if there are any in the pockets."
He found, in a cabinet nearby, some bandages, and quickly pulled them out, offering some to Penelo. "Here," he added. "These might come in handy. Always good to have if you're hurt."
He continued to search. "I'm surprised. We haven't been attacked. I was attacked twice last night. It's strange."
"Right," Penelo nodded, rifling through the pockets. Unfortunately, it seemed that the nurses had been mindful to remove all harmful objects out of their pockets before retiring for the day, and Penelo's search came up empty handed except for some white pieces of paper that looked like candy wrappers and pocket lint.
Kazuo was a bit more successful, and Penelo gratefully took some bandages. It wasn't a complete loss, at the very least. Maybe they just picked the wrong place to go. Or perhaps the really good things were in those firmly locked rooms. Penelo wondered if they should try kicking those down next.
"Thanks," She smiled, stashing the bandages in her pocket. She looked up in mild surprise when Kazuo mentioned their luck so far.
"Yeah... but don't jinx us. I think we're doing really well if we've come this far and dodged the monsters."
"Just in the mood for some excitement," Kazuo replied. He pocketed the bandages and said, "I don't see much else here. Those locked doors out there...where do you think they leave the keys?"
Excitement?! If that was his idea of excitement... Penelo knew they'd have to fight inevitably, but she wanted to avoid it for as long as possible. Especially since they had nothing but flashlights and martial arts to defend themselves with.
"I guess they carry the keys with them..." Penelo frowned, noting how empty the pockets of the uniforms were. "Well, maybe they're in another room, but I guess it's nowhere near here."
Where did they keep the keys? Did the doors even truly have keys, or were the locks meant to be picked or broken?
Though she had expected to get lost and wander around in circles, Raven's luck turned around when she managed to find a restroom without too much trouble. The young girl went in, turned on one of the nearby faucets and splashed her face with water several times. Although she had left the chapel, some of the monster's lovely stench had decided to tag along with her. So much for being clean.
With nothing to do at the moment, Raven decided to head back to her room so that she could change her clothes for ones that didn't smell.
