"Going to deliver..." Brook sung, words coming and going through the most comforting of his hummed tunes. Really, the cane made all the difference. Before he'd only been able to hum to alleviate his fears of traveling alone. Now though, he had a weapon. An untested one, yet still a weapon. And one much better than a lead pipe or, and

He was through the first hallway and field in no time flat, keeping his normal pace until he came to the hallway by the magician's block. Just to be sure he didn't bypass the magician should he be out, he took a moment to scan the hallway. An easy task given that no one was present. If Fai had left already, he'd probably ducked out the other hallway.
"Che..." spitting, Kurogane turned in the next hallway, slamming the door hard behind him.

The hallways could not be crossed quickly enough as Guybrush tore through the passage. Either LeChuck had gotten lucky (or unlucky, depending on what De Landel did with the patients he chose to 'release') and it was a huge coincidence that he and Elaine disappeared right around the same time, or he was in on it.
Noooo no no no no. A ridiculous plan of this magnitude was right up LeChuck's alley! Guybrush snorted angrily as he passed into the next hallway. Why hadn't he seen this coming? He should have known better than to put even an ounce of trust into his nemesis, human and supposedly helpless and a victim of circumstance or not.

Neku ran back down the hall, already worried that he'd taken too long. His side was a constant ache and he was probably being a little selfish to go get a set of batteries, but he thought it was a pretty reasonable request. And it wasn't like he'd hidden the fact that he was going to grab them.
His flashlight bounced along ahead of him, lighting the way. People were still wandering around and moving about for the night so he couldn't be that late, could he?

This hall was bigger than the last and, though Jr. still didn't have the place mapped out in his head, he thought he was almost out of the dormitory area. His grip on his flashlight tightened as he looked around, wary that the wider hallway would make it easier to miss someone (something?) malevolent. But nothing happened as he moved on to the next hall.

Minato didn't really need the flashlight. Once he had checked up and down the corridor, he flicked the flashlight off and headed towards the girls' block. It better to conserve what power he had for part of the institute he didn't know well, like the second floor.
Would he be able to make it back to the janitor's closet tonight? He supposed it mattered what he heard from Aigis; if nothing else, he could be flexible with his plans for her while she was ... troubled.
How ironic, that the institute itself was what made its "patients" break down.
