I had only known one really really specific kind of magic before coming here. Hearing about so many other kinds makes me want to learn about all of them just as much as you. I'd love to share findings with you sometime for sure, if you're okay with that!
Sure. I'd like to hear what you know, no matter how specific it is. I've had a number of breakthroughs thanks to information that was previously thought not to have outside applications.
I suppose it gets a little difficult to define when we're considering how differently it might work within various worlds, but... to put it loosely, I'd consider magic to be any abilities or techniques, either innate or learned, that allow people to manipulate or convert energy to create a desired result.
To put it simpler and more specifically, the magic I'm most familiar with allows humans to use a particular type of stone to cast spells, conjuring things like fireballs or tidal waves.
Other forms involve borrowing the powers of spirits, or using symbols to manipulate and convert mana into usable magical energy.
