Consider this a poll conducted out of curiosity, but how many people here were involved in some sort of law enforcement before being brought here? Attorneys, people in the police force, detectives, private investigators, or whatever else might fit into this category. I've noticed that there are a lot of people here who come out of that field. If ( Read more... )

You know of me, Harvey Dent. There is also a detective here who works under me, and [pen taps] another former prosecutor in our ranks.

So you're still here. Good.

Can you provide their names, or would I be better off seeing if they replied here?

As if I would let this place defeat me.

Detective Dick Gumshoe will likely respond, but the other may not. I am not at liberty to discuss that person.

Fair enough. At least I know to add their number to the overall list. Thank you.

I don't think I fit into any of those, but I'd be interested in knowing what sort of role they played in your societies. It might help us understand some of the other worlds here a little better. Could you define some of them? Law enforcement sounds clear enough, and I've done some investigation work, but I wouldn't really call that my title. What about attorneys and detectives?

Are you mental How can you not

Detectives are people who investigate a crime, going to the scene to pick up clues and gather evidence. Attorneys are the ones who then argue that the suspect is either guilty or innocent, depending on if they're a prosecutor or a defense attorney.

Law enforcement? Not quite. But I was involved in making sure the city I live in didn't devolve into a battleground for various mafia families and gangs. If that counts for anything.

Sounds a bit familiar. Does this city have a name? Also, that's close enough that it's worth knowing about. Thank you.

Certainly looks to be a nice turnout so far.

Hey! Maybe we should hold a party together sometime, hmm? Doesn't that sound like fun?

You already know most of this, but for the benefit of anyone else reading this: Inspector Lunge, BKA agent, based in Wiesbaden. It's certainly an curious pattern. Perhaps someone is trying to encourage investigation.
