I just got back after attending the dressage clinic with Rachel Saavedra. I've been wanting to ride with her for about a year, I finally got a chance.  She was complimentary of my seat and legs and said that the mechanics of my rising trot were excellent.  Mostly we worked on what my arms and hands were doing and how they were affecting Miss Bella

I think the ears thing is from having ridden jumping horses. that was the same thing I got from Todd's lessons last fall and while I totally 'get' why, it's HARD to make myself just look between the ears! and not ... like, around the arena. I'm supposed to be spotting jumps and lines for my horse, right?
