Meh. I shop at Central Market. It's part of the HEB chain, 'cept they buy organic in huge quanities which keeps the prices lower. Everybody should have a store like that.

Dunno about political, but yeah. You should see the Whole Foods in my town. From open to close, it's impossible to find a parking space.

heehee, libertarians are funny. Every one I've ever met is a 40 year old guy who lives in his parent's basement.

I get my veggies and meat at Whole Foods (they're the only place around here that sells Bison steak). We have Kroger and Publix around here, but their veggie selection sucks, and most of it is wilted or almost out of date by the time it gets here.

Oh yeah, I make under $24k a year. :D And definitely not liberal. Personally don't care about the politics of someone who owns a business, especially given that Whole Foods is a great smaller corp company to work for. Would rather work for them than Kroger or Publix.

Fair enough. But, I felt like anybody who does care about such things probably shops at a Whole Foods, so the word should be spread.

Yeah, that guy's a d-bag. It astounds me that so many people still think that shopping there or Wild Oats is some kind of progressive act, in and of itself. I also have a special grudge against Whole Foods because they bought out my old workplace and have been continually lying to the employees about what kind of wages, benefits, etc. they can expect once they're official Whole Foods employees. Sigh.

I'm about to move to a town where wholefoods systematically took down just about every single other natural foods outlet in the whole (humongous) city, quite some years ago. There will be some good options for smaller local (ethnic) markets, but not the little genuine coop i've become used to. sigh.
And, yeah, purism aside, it does matter the politice of people who own businesses i support, especially if it's a huge multinational. Those people have a shit load of power to change the shape of the world i live in for the worse! really! There's not always a good alternate choice and so i understand needing to make compromises. But, to say it is altogether irrelevant is fooling oneself.
