I'm intrigued by the bit where he's rebuilding the TARDIS (I think that's what it is). Looks like the Smoochie Doctor meme still has a while to run...old school, but not that old school, Moffatt?

Well, remember, Moffat gave us TGITF, with *spectacularly* Smoochy Doctor, and an undeniably romantic (in all senses of the word) tone. Not to mention the heavy (sometimes heavy-handed) implications of Doctor/River in the Library two-parter. So, no, I wouldn't think he'd be as Old Skool as all that. And if he's an "asexualist," I'll eat my hat. ;)

So that's why that woman looked familiar. I hadn't recognized River Song when not wearing a spacesuit. Crud. While I also very much like the idea of the Doctor not being alone forever and having a timey-wimey relationship, I found the lack of chemistry between the actors so jarring and River so irritatingly smug that I am NOT looking forward to seeing her again. I'd hoped, since she recognizes Ten in SitL, that she would be assumed to be part of the Doctor's life in the space between the specials and never heard from again. Sigh...maybe Smith will manage to click with her better than Tennant.

Otherwise, I'm really excited about what's to come!

Agreed so hard! I couldn't stand River in SitL. She seemed very self-centered, saying that the Doctor wasn't really the Doctor because he hadn't met her yet. Also, we've seen so many companions that we know and love - what does she do to deserve his name? I feel like that honor ought to go to Romana or something, not River. Moffat's got a lot of convincing to do - but thankfully, I think he's up to the job.

I think/hope most of the problems with River came from trying to create the sense of a years-long relationship in 2 episodes, and attempting to use River!emo and such as a shorthand.

I'm still hoping (as I've said before) that River learns the Doc's name in some way different from (and more interesting than) a mere relationship/romance context. Like you, though, I have faith that Moffat will do something unexpected and fun when given enough time to develop that aspect.

Yeah, if Smith and Kingston have the right chemistry (and River gets to be a little more three-dimensional, as well as, hopefully, getting some interesting backstory), I'd be all for her return . . . I do like her being all badass with sunglasses in the trailer. <3

Even if River doesn't "click" for me, I'm still looking forward to the rest of the season, too!

I'm a bit excited. I love David and I love Ten, but I'm a bit excited for Eleven.

Lots more River Song, I see. I hope she gets the character development she deserves.

I actually didn't mind her all that much, but this is true. I'm hoping for this as well.

If nothing else would make me happy about Moffatt's episodes, those Weeping Angels would. To be honest, they are probably one of the only Who monsters I've *ever* been completely terrified of (and I've been a Who fan since I was 5...)
Damn, I'm getting goosebumps thinking about it.

Ditto. :)

I didn't *hate* her, but the lack of believability/buildup/context kind of grated at me . . .

Yeah, I know, I wager there will be a lot of grownups joining their kids behind thw sofa when the Angels reappear!

Well, the Moff did create them, so it's not a surprise he's bringing them back. Also, he's a bit evil, I think, and loves scaring the bejeebus out of everyone. ;)

Oooh! Nice! Not bad at all! I'm glad you shared. :-D

Pleeease tell me that "Geronimo" is not his catch phrase, though! *glares at Moffat*

Thanks. :)

I fear "Geronimo" is indeed the new catchprase. It shows up in both the end of EoT and the trailer, so . . . Also, we know Moffat digs catchphrases even MORE than RTD (witness that he's pretty much had one per episode thus far, especially in the more recent offerings), so I'm unsurprised that Eleven starts right out with one.
