Aww that's a sweet MJ memory. (And I don't often say that. ;-) )

From the what I've seen posted, more people have sweet than sour MJ memories . . . which, honestly, is a good thing, IMO. :)

That is a good, I think. His latter years were so... bizarre. I do have happy memories of watching the "Billy Jean" video repeatedly with my dad. (He was very impressed with the filming style. :D )

Eh, I think we're all deeply weird -- MJ just had the money to live some of it out in RL and the bizarre, intense personal/creative/media pressure that caused him to do so. I have a lot of sympathy, actually . . .

That really is a sweet memory. :)

My favorite MJ memory is of getting a copy of Thriller (on vinyl!) for my 10th birthday. I got my first 10-speed bike then, too. I remember feeling Very Grown Uptm. In fact, that's one of the few birthdays that really stands out in my mind as being a "good" one; most of the rest sort of run together.

It's interesting how music and such can get woven in with other things/memories, isn't it?

Yeah, it is--I think music ranks right up there with scent in our emotional memories. Think about how every generation thinks their music (the music of their teenagehood/young adulthood) is The Best Evar, and how so many couples have "their song." :)

BTW, as the icon might suggest, the Sooper Sekrit pinch-hit is close to done, finally. You'll see it later today. :)
