Weirded out Pissed off

Having been on a busy Toronto street today when a fire engine tried to get to an emergency, but no one (but me) got out of the way, I posted to teh Toronto community that people should pull over.  My post was deleted because "it's not Toronto related" and I was advised to  post it to my own journal.  Where almost all readers ( Read more... )

I have often thought that fire trucks and ambulances should be equipped with bumper level cameras that can be activated to take pictures of obstructing vehicles plates and those used to issue automatic tickets. I see that stupidity all too often.

Boy, is that Toronto related.

But LJ is like high school, and Torontonians hate being told their driving is inconsiderate and assinine.

We have the same sort of issues here in the Lexington, KY area. Every time I see an emerg. vehicle, I'm the only one pulling over. Most people don't even make any attempt at all. It's nuts. Supposedly they've announced heavy fines if you don't pull over, but I've never seen anyone get stopped by the police during a situation like that -- I think the fines are just a threat.
