Yeah, we get a lot of little earthquakes like that here and there up here in the Pacific Northwest. If I've been sleeping, it just sounds and feels (from the vibrations) like a garbage truck accidentally ran into something outside or something along those lines, and it's usually not until I read the news later that I find out that it was actually an earthquake.
I understand hibernating, definitely. My first instinct in times of shock or weariness is to pull back for a while. Just take care of yourself and rest. We'll be here when you're ready to come back to us.

As for the earthquake, I found it surprising, too, and I'm a geologist!
