Generosity knows no bounds

Yesterday, we cooked a few pounds of pork (still not sure of the cut) with onions, sweet potatoes and pineapple in our crock pot. The meat was sweet and so tender it fell apart to the touch. Yum. I usually don't feel either brave or remarkable. I think sometimes my adult identity is so tied up into being a working person that this long spell of unemployment has affected me.

Being off the main workforce will do that to you, but your situation doesn't make you less a person than you were before. For having been there as well, I know how it can be devalorizing, but don't let that touch your sense of self. You're more than a position. Really.
