And we are biased because whoever wins gets to write history, no?

but i liked my ap euro teacher! that's the sad thing.
and yes, winners write history. but honestly, the winners should be a little more honest about how they brutally massacred and dominated a bunch of countries for a long time.

cromwell was a tool. he decided it wouldnt' be good pr if he trashed the cathedral in his home town ... so he got the bishop to do it for him. Ely cathedral is still a battered wreck.

dammit. I'm gonna mangle this quote, and I can't even remember where it comes from right now.. I'll re-comment if it comes to me at 3am.. something in the direction of 'genocidal monsters can't help but change the world, but those who change the world aren't always monsters' ... the fact of the matter was that oliver sure as hell left a stamp on the world and shook stuff up. Not saying that he did good things, just that he did a whole lot of 'em.

one day when we live in america again, can we make it happen that you and i go to battery park/battery park city to hang out? i haven't spent nearly enough time there (in other words, i've hardly been there ever), which is a shame.
early march would be great, april and may i might be travelling elsewhere, in which case i could visit you, or we could work it so that i'm around when you can come, or both! i'm pretty open at this point. i have all of april and most of may off, so yes, let's talk. if you want to come in march, let's talk soon!

dollface, i would like nothing more than to journey to battery park city with you. i have only really spent time there twice, even though i lived about 10 minutes from there, but it is lovely. my friend's coming early march, i think she's planning on going to scotland so i might go with her, she's going to tell me her plans soon hopefully. i'm also off april/most of march, so we're in the same boat for that, but we will figure some shit out! loooove

ooo battery. I only just started exploring down there this winter, my grandpa moved to a place in that part of town-ish. I feel like I need a passport to get there, living in upstate manhattan as I do.. *peer*
