Oh you're writing again! And you're taking them home... ? Or not?

I loved this. The descriptions of low gravity were fun and the view of earth, superb.

I am! It was Tranquility that took so damn long, actually; once I decided just to finish it up and post it no matter how pointless it was/how much I hated how pointless it was, I moved right along.

Hopefully the rest will take... less time. Though life Happened, and I'm int the middle of a move and a job search, so we'll just... hope really hard on this.

And yes, haha! FINALLY, they get back to Earth, and I get to begin rewriting Torchwood with Sam (and a few extra canons) in. This fic pretty much concludes arc one.

...I did not expect this to have arcs when I started writing it.

Thank you!

Ha - love the way stories take on a life of their own.

As an aside, what era are you taking them home to? Interesting for Sam if it's ahead of when he went back in time. The temptation to find out what happened to him would be immense.
If it's back in the 70's would he go look up everyone? Back in his own time (can't remember when that was) what would he do? Is his "body" still in hospital in a coma?

You probably weren't going to follow up on any of that, and that's fine too. It's me musing, that's all.
cheers

>:D Sam is going "home" to the first series of Torchwood. ...which for some reason, in Damaged People, has been dated up to occur around 2008. (It may have made sense long ago, but I've forgotten the notes.) So he's losing two years.

...and yeah, the first series of Torchwood is pretty much the second arc.

(I'm so looking forward to it. I have some excellent - to my tastes, at least - stuff planned.)

So close to home!

Oh, that imagery of Earth through the window is gorgeous. Perfect, really.

Yes! ...and then they go home and everything goes to hell, because neither one can have a normal day.

And thank you! (What good is writing if you can't make other people feel the awe of outer space? ...maybe that's just me.)
