tutorial for yashal
i just finished a new tutorial for the coloring i used on this icon:

From
to
1. we're starting off with this base:
2. Duplicate the base three times. Set them all to Soft Light. First two with opacity 100% the third one with only 50%.
3. open a new layer and fill it with #fee8e8 > Soft Light/100%.
Duplicate it, still Soft Light/25%.
4. another new layer filled it with #f72020 > Color Dodge 20%.
5. open a new layer filled with #d6e2f2 > Color Burn 100%.
6. and one last layer filled with #230d04 > exclusion 100%.
and you're done. :)
now you can sharpen and crop the image and use it for example for an icon like this one:
and here's the psd-file if you're interested.
