Yunho smiled as he watched his love standing in front of the kitchen counter, a recipe book propped against a jar as his eyebrows were drawn together in concentration from reading. The faint traces of lemon and vanilla lingered in the air, mingling together to create a tantalizing aroma but nothing could be compared to the way Jaejoong smelled or even tasted - a fragrance and taste more tempting than anything Yunho had ever felt. A finger entered his line of vision and Yunho looked up, into Jaejoong’s eyes, and found himself being lurched in, into those seductive eyes; eyes that may seem cold to others but only because they did not know him. To Yunho, those eyes held so much warmth and love with a vulnerable innocence that made Yunho want to protect him always.
“Yunho-ah,” his gentle voice carried across the short distance between them. “Taste.”
Yunho opened his mouth and took Jaejoong’s finger in, licking it before he let it out and nodded knowing that Jaejoong would give him a beautiful smile. Yunho liked the vulnerable side to Jaejoong, the one where he always asked Yunho to taste his cooking even though whatever Jaejoong made was always delicious.
Soft singing weaved together with the lemon and vanilla in the air; a sign that Jaejoong was happy that Yunho was happy with his cooking but Yunho felt different - Jaejoong was his happiness.
“Do you need any help?” he asked as he stepped behind his lover and snaked his arms around Jaejoong’s waist.
The shorter man leaned into Yunho’s chest and carried on humming as he finished applying the final layer to the cake.
“I just need you.”
