With only three days left until the full moon Sabrina had found herself in a weird state of being, not quite as energetic as usual but itching to keep herself busy one way or another. Normally she would have just gone out for a run or worked in her garden to either experiment with potions or supper (though, once she got the recipes all confused and ( Read more... )

It was a good thing Dean had a knack for remembering dates (history classes had been his best subject second to art as a child in Muggle primary school, and while Binns had left much to be desired as far as professor material went, he'd actually been one of the few people to genuinely enjoy History of Magic back at Hogwarts, both for the fact that it was the biggest window he could find into this world he hadn't known existed until he was thrust into it and for how interesting he thought it was to connect wizarding history to that ingrained timeline of Muggle events he knew about), because short of it being mentioned in a playful (if short, distractions being rather prevalent when they found themselves laying around on the couch) round of Twenty Questions they had fallen into one evening, Sabrina hadn't made it a point to draw any attention to her upcoming birthday ( ... )

"No, I almost forgot about it actually," she told him honestly, turning quickly to catch his lips in a soft kiss.

They had already gone over eight hours and Sabrina had gotten spoiled waking up next to him every morning for the last ten days. There was no way that she was going to be this close to him another minute and she wasn't going to steal a little kiss.

Sabrina gently took the plant from him to free his hands and nodded back towards the kitchen. It had been a few hours now, the stew cooking long and slow in a way that made the meat nice and tender, the potatoes soft, and the vegetables just right. Her stomach rumbled just thinking about it.

"I thought I'd do something for you. I mean, I've been sleeping in your clothes and eating out your fridge for almost two weeks-"
