Yeah have to agree King's recent work is suffering. It started driving me up the wall when every other book of his referenced the Dark Tower in a way-not a series I have ever particulary cared for.
My Daleks are mostly named after the Doctor's companions i.e
Rosan-Rose Donn-Donna Marty-Martha SJ-Sarah-Jane Adri/Adric-Adric Adam-Adam Mitchell Jules-Gillian (comic companion) Ian and Soo-Ian and Susan Bard-Barbara Jack-Jack Harkness Turlough-Turlough Vic-Victoria/Vicki Joe-Jo Jamie-Jamie of course!
Thats all I can thinkof at the top of my head, still in the process of naming two of my newest and one's definitely leaning towards "Dodo".
Other than that I have a Mini!Sec and of course, my pride and joy, Dalek Caan because he should have been a companion and he's quite frankly, NUTS. (This is the Dalek who when we let him roam free exterminates about a dozen invisible Time Lords-also known as chairs, tables, stairs, the cat....) I also have the Time Squad version of the Supreme Dalek who is called quite unfortunately: Teeny Squishy Soop Dalek. (Squish for short)
Hee, It started with one, then Adam stowed away when I got some pillows then Donn joined us....now they have an entire corner of my room to themselves! Needless to say, tensions between the nearly 40-odd daleks and the 300-odd my little ponies is pretty high at times....
As of right now, aside from two of the standard Dalek names (Thay and Sec), my only other Dalek to have a name goes by the name Dalek khan (not to be confused with Caan from the Cult of Skaro).
Then I have a little Red and Blue Dalek who goes by the name "Doctor" Dalek, because he idolizes the Doctor and wants to be just like him and help out other people.
I will be getting in some more Daleks and will need names for them as well.
From what I can tell, Doctor Dalek is a product enterprise micro talking Dalek (I recently got the same fella :D) Product Enterprise stopped making these little guys a bit ago so they're hard to find and expensive!
I have 11 Daleks right now and most of them have names. They're very particular when it comes to names.
My first Dalek was Dalek Thay... Then I named my gold Dalek, Caan Then I have Supreme Dalek (aka Supreme) Gamma Skaro Skaro II Alkali Planemo
My WWII era Dalek is getting two names. One is going to relate to a Tiger-class panzer...
I've still got to name my Genesis Dalek. I like using names that relate to space or something that would be Dalek appropriate. I've also given a Dalek in one of my stories the name Gaath, which is a slightly modified version of an ancient city in Israel (I believe). ~
Heh, I try. I was surprised that the name Alkali actually fit, considering that I didn't think that a Dalek would want to take on a name of something that is supposed to be "the least" of things. I've been musing over a few names, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do now because one is supposed to have the Union Jack whilst the other ones I'm doing up with German panzer colour schemes.
I think I might stick with "Dalek Flak IV" or some number... I'm getting the paint for my other Dalek tomorrow. I haven't decided if I want to go for the movie Dalek (black and silver with red dome lights) or do up another WWII era Dalek. I might do the all-black one with silver on it but buy another Dalek next payday to do as the German tank. My dad is skeptical on how it will look... I think I might have to get the airbrush working though. ~
