*Pats back hoping to make you feel better*

If it helps, they weren't as bad as they COULD have been. At least the necks aren't posable!

And when you think baout it, the character design probably looked pretty damn weird in the sixties...

Now you see if the necks had been posable it would have set off a conflicting emotion rollercoaster on one hand "awwsocute!" and the other "wtf? Daleks do not have bendy necks!" XD So its probably best they didn't go down that road lest they cause a Carrie meltdown.

Ah XD probably for the best then (although now I have a mental image of those multicolored daleks all tilting their heads in synchronization...

"Say what Doctor?"

"I...just...stop it!" You can imagine he'd be freaked out if they did that, like little HMV Dogs.

The hunchback bothers me a bit, but otherwise I like the new sleek modern look to them.
I'm wondering if these are all Supremes and drones will have their own distinctive look to them.

I wound up watching the episode tonight and I feel kind of weird/ashamed at saying that I cried through a good part of it. I really didn't want to see the new Daleks destroyed as I had spent the last week growing a fondness for them (front view that is ( ... )

Oh yes the extermiantion of the older ones had me going "no no nooo!" again. My dad laughed at me.

I think 11's reaction was partly due to pure shock-much like 9 torturing the Dalek in "Dalek" (I fucking hated that scene) it's a kick to the gut for him and there's only one way he can react-all logical thought goes out of the window.

I honestly cannot buy that he was in some state of "shock" because how the other Doctors have reacted before to the Daleks. The fiesty attitude and such, normal and well-appreciated. But committed to genocide... something he banished his duplicate self to parallel earth for? It just doesn't add up. Maybe that regeneration messed with his mind. But right now, I cannot accept 11 as my Doctor. That episode depressed me more than anything.

Hate, hate, HATE the new design. Really hate it. And of course, having wanted a decent Dalek video game for years, they're bringing one out with this awful redesign in it instead of the proper ones. I've been watching the show for longer than I can remember, but I'm getting close to being done here.
