I actually got some things done this weekend that I have been putting off for a while now. For starters, I set up the new computer I bought back in December that has been sitting around unopened all this time. I guess it's a good thing that it wasn't DOA or I would have been SOL. Pan's Labyrinth is one of the best movies I've ever seen. It's just so...honest and realistic, i.e., "There is no magic..no one will save you," and the juxtaposition of reality to fantasy is downright heartbreaking at times. The violent scenes are so blunt and visceral at times, too; I feel bad for parents who took their kids to see it, thinking it was a children's movie.

Also, anyone who complains about reading subtitles probably shouldn't be watching quality cinema. I barely notice them after the first few minutes.
