Cool blogI pulled Tipler off the shelf today (Paul, not Frank) . . . lots of hours and memories there. I was feeling kind of sentimental and then I noticed that I'm missing several texts, most notably those from my Astro and Quantum Mechanics classes. WTF ( Read more... )

From the geology article: Vail's method of interpretation is made crystal clear when he writes: "Unlike secular geologists, creationist geologists don't need to speculate about history because we accept the eyewitness accounts of past events, preserved in a reliable written record-the Bible."

I have to admit, as someone who is wracking his brain this very moment with philosophy homework, I sometimes envy people who can just totally shut off the need to think rationally and say "God did it." It saves so much effort and mental anguish. On the other hand, if people like this ran the world, we'd still be in the dark ages, so my jealousy is nothing short of ephemeral.
