Sometimes I see no difference between people and particles.
During one of my geekier moments, I was contemplating on how people behave just like molecules. All things really want to do is be as stable as possible. If you rip a hydrogen atom off of methane and replace it with a metal, that goddamn thing is in such an unhappy marriage, it's going to steal a proton from anything with any measure of acidity just to stabilize itself. If you place the right things in the right type of mixture, they'll come together spontaneously, because they're just happier together.
