After the sixth time (two times after the last time Claude had told himself that it wouldn't happen again), Sid flopped down next to him on the hotel bed and asked, breathless, if they could catch the last period of the Kings-Oilers game. Claude hauled himself up to lean against the headboard, frowning down at Sid's still-red face.

"Watch it at your own house."

"It'll be done by the time I get there," Sid pointed out, "and I don't want any of your teammates to see me leaving."

Claude thought wistfully back to the third time, rough handjobs exchanged in the folded-down back seat of Sid's SUV. He'd made Sid drive him to a restaurant near CONSOL and taken a cab back to his hotel from there. The problem, he figured, was that they'd gotten too used to this-- well, whatever it was, and now they were making comfort a higher priority than discretion.

"Fine, whatever," he said, rubbing at the indentations in his fist from his own teeth. Sid glanced over from where he was already turning on the TV-- asshole-- and his eyes dropped to ( ... )

This is just five kinds of awesome! Absolute favorite part though: Sid honking like an asthmatic goose. Perfect description of his laugh.

i'm so into this pairing it's not even funny. i love how being seen by teammates is like, essentially an afterthought for sid, who mostly just wants to watch the game ahha. and this: (two times after the last time Claude had told himself that it wouldn't happen again) yes yes yes so dead on
