I haven't read any posts or comments about the finale yet (I'm over 500 entries behind on my f-list, having been on holiday for a few days - I'll post about that later).
Omg. I sort of thought (hoped) that it was going to be a hallucination (the Cuddy/magical one-night detox) but I was STILL blown away by how they did it. I mean, guh. And I loved the cuts between the wedding and House and Wilson (and not just because of the implications, lol). I loved the contrast between the lighting and such. Just awesome.
And I agree that everything but the lipstick and the bit at the end were real - that the whole time, you think he and Cuddy are talking about the same thing, but they're not. So tightly woven together - very 'Doris.' I loved it, even though it hurt so much.
I'm still struggling with whether real!Wilson is that much of a conflicted, possesive, closet case (because of course to me, he is) or if House was just hallucinating him that way, which is just as awesome. I wish the reality/hallucination lines were clearer as they have been in the past, although I do get the premise that it's a symptom of House's break-down that he can't tell anymore either, as opposed to No Reason.
I've already written one angsty mmom fic, and am looking forward to a summer of awesomely dark stories.
In all the excitement I forgot about the cheque-donating couple! That was cool. I was left with the impression that everything that happened in 5.24 was real except the lipstick (well, and Amber and Kutner!)... but I guess it takes a Sixth Sense rewatch to really try and work that out XD
