Round Up of Life and TV

First of all, this is downright shocking: two posts in as many weeks! Dear God, am I actually becoming a rehabilitated LJer? *faints*

Now some random words about the thinky sort of thoughts in my head:

Cut for self indulgent navel-gazing... )

tv, real life

I watch Glee!

That's pretty much the only non-reality show I watch these days. >.> (Actually, that's THE only non-reality show I watch these days, but I want to get into Raising Hope once NaNo is done.)

But wait - Meredith got functional?

Like... normal-person functional, or are we grading on a curve?

Well, a curve, but even on normal person functional I'd say she's like....at least a B minus. Which is totally passable.

Glee is fun. And there's singing and dancing. Which is happy.

Sadly, given that I have class on Thursday nights, no Big Bang Theory for me. Cry, cry...

But I'm still oddly addicted to SVU. And Sanctuary, but that has Amanda Tapping being AWESOME, so that's not strange at all.

I gave up on SVU long ago, as it just sort of freaks me out. And Sanctuary....you know, by the end of last season I sort of enjoyed it. And then I didn't catch it when it came back on this season and I don't miss it.

I think I understand what you're getting at about your grandfather. With mine, he's the quintessential grandfather: lovable about and fun and definitely spoils us. But he was apparently a lot different when my Mom was growing up. I've been doing some genealogy work lately, and I've realized just how much I don't know about my family, and how much I'll probably never know. It's sad. And it makes me want to leave some sort of record so my descendants will know about me, and not wonder about me.

Mythbusters: It's TV crack. I will watch hours of this show. It doesn't matter if I've seen it already. I love it like a mad, mad thing.

Yes! I couldn't agree more. I will watch hours and hours of Mythbusters. I have tons of episodes recorded on my DVR. It's addictive!

Exactly! It's just weird, a little.

Oh, Mythbusters. Epic, epic love.
