There was a ledge about ten feet above the rooftop where Kotarou was standing. Fugaku was balanced there, hanging upside down, his feet glued to the concrete with chakra. Cute kid. Fugaku had guessed older, from the talk he’d heard in the journal systems (not just his entry, he read the other ones as well), but then, people always assumed he was older, so maybe it wasn’t that strange.

Then he blinked. Nobody had called him “nii-chan” for, geez, it had been years.

He released the chakra, and did a few flips before landing silently. “Yo,” he said, hands in his pockets.

Kotarou blinked and quickly turned a little, grinning when he caught site of the other. Heh, he hadn't even noticed him there. Pretty cool.

"Heyyy," ...Well, he didn't come out here to just stand around staring. Kotarou placed a hand on his hip and attempted to act somewhat blasé, 'just because', though he was clearly anxious and pumped up with energy. "You ready to spar a little?"

Fugaku raised an eyebrow at the kid’s (Kotarou’s, he’d have to remember that) antics. Perhaps this was how normal children acted, as opposed to shinobi ones. He wouldn’t know, he didn’t like civilians, and usually that included children. But sometimes, they were alright. They didn’t lie like their parents tended to.

“Yep,” he said, nodding slightly. Fugaku shifted his weight, and slid into stance, arms by his side, palms turned up. Always ready.

"Heh," Kotarou dropped his hands to his sides, his tail and fingertips twitching in his anxiousness as he watched the other. Once Fugaku seemed ready, Kotarou smirked and lunged forward, testing the air with a swift kick aimed towards Fugaku's side.
