It had been a stressful couple of days for Fran. Not because she'd been running around helping everyone who needed it, but for exactly the opposite reason. She hadn't been able to do anything to heal the venom injections (her arms could only hold so many things, and the vaccine was not one of them), and the one person she felt she could have helped was terrified of her appearance.

Then the magicians showed up and began healing in an instant what she hadn't been able to cure in seven months. Follow that with the suppressant antidote (she'd taken it just in case; there must have been a reason there was enough for everyone, and she doubted very much its sole purpose was to suppress paranormal abilities) and she was feeling downright useless. How discouraging!

But she wasn't letting it get her down. She'd been experimenting on the bodies of the fallen guards, largely to make sure she hadn't lost her touch. While her compatriots wouldn't let her remove the dead skin and form barriers for the doors with it, that didn't mean she had been ( ... )

[[ooc: Since the others are appearing really soon, Derek's just going to start now because muse said so. >> ]]How did he end up falling asleep on the floor last night? Had he really been that tired? Or just drained from the overwhelming relief he felt from hearing the others and knowing they were all right? It didn’t matter now. Derek felt like he could dance for months on end ( ... )

J could not wait. He knew the Divas could hold down the fort on the Ultimatum, and Rookie would be just fine with Chief on the Threshold. That just left finding Derek on the third ship - the Pinnacle, they'd called it.

Billy had been more than willing to get him and Morris to the Pinnacle (and he had to admit that the floating platform was pretty cool so far as modes of transportation went), and once they'd touched down both Agents were off and running. Derek's tune was strong in the Music, and J could just about feel the notes flow as they headed closer and closer to their fellow Agent.

A little more bite and a little less bark
A little less fight and a little more spark
Close your mouth and open up your heart and baby satisfy meHe was grinning hard. Yeah, that was Derek all right ( ... )

The pounding was drawing closer. Toph was near one of the doors they had used to barricade the cell block halls. Her senses were on high alert thanks to her dosage of the anti-suppressant and now she was more than capable of sensing the guards movements ( ... )

The sound of bullets ricocheting through the hallway met with surprised cries from the guards as a new person silently joined the fray. Not one bullet missed its mark, and that was what the gunman intended. The guards may have been trained in this sort of combat, but so had he... and he still had hundreds of years of practice under his belt. Their gear was strangely laughable to him and he kept shooting from behind Toph's wall.

"How long can you keep that up, kid?" Kincaid asked quietly, a small smirk in his eyes but hardly reflecting in his voice.

It may not have been paid work, but revenge was more amusing than that.

"The wall or the metal bending in general," Toph asked, seemingly unphased by the man's sudden appearance. He'd been good about sneaking up on the situation, she'd give him that, but her feet could feel a lot of things other people might miss.

She wasn't sure exactly who this guy was but he was helping so frankly she didn't care. "Got any plans you need my help with," she had a feeling he had asked because he had something in mind.

More bullets pinged off the wall.

Once they were through the glass, Lelouch threw off his mask, goggles, and helmet with one hand, in one motion. With the other, he removed his contact. His order was simple, and accomomdated a few possible contingency plans they may have in place. He primarily directed his gaze to the captain, but all others in his line of vision would also be affected. "You will follow my orders as though I were Ganu Yoshida! Lelouch vi Britannia commands you!"

Raiel hit the ground and actually managed to come up right, rolling into a crouch and flipping his piano down. He threw a glance over at Zero to make sure he was out of the ocean spirit's way, and then he released his hold on the spirits as he looked over the rest of the bridge. They vanished, slipping back into the sea without a trace.

Just the people you couldn't look in the eye. Right. Shouldn't be too hard. He took stock of which targets to hit and started playing Braham's Lullaby. It didn't take long for the guards unaffected by Lelouch's geass to swoon and pass out on the floor. (Though there was some spillage over to guards who were geassable and he'd missed a couple who weren't - pitfalls of trying to specify mass-target magic music.)

The captain of the Pinnacle stood at his post. He stood perfectly straight and still, saluting at attention as the invaders approached. There was a thin sheen of sweat clinging to his pale face, and a grim smile played on his lips.

"Mr. Yoshida, sir!" he said, his voice perfectly even. "I... I cannot apologize enough for my failure, sir! I gave it all I had. I performed all the protocols as you requested. Many men died in the process but I was inadequate. The ship has been taken, sir."

Still smiling, the captain began to tremble.

"I've failed you sir. I was not worthy to serve you as captain. I accept my punishment gratefully, Mr. Yoshida. Please. Please, grant me mercy..."
