Characters: Boriane Daermon, Naoki Kashima, Raiel, Hotsuma Oboro later
Content: Naoki and Raiel help Boriane to chain her demon soul. Hotsuma disturbs the ritual and experiences the dark side of his lady.
Location: Boriane's training room near NYU
Time of day: Afternoon, a day after this
Warnings: Fighting, perhaps character death

Raiel wasn't entirely certain this was going to work. Boriane talked about magic, but really he couldn't use magic, per se, just music, and that wasn't even working right now anyway. So he was understandably wary about this and hoped she knew what she was asking him to do.

He arrived at the training room as asked, looking somewhat nervous, his piano absent as it had been for the past couple of weeks. By now his eyepatch had settled in as a permanent feature of his attire, though he couldn't recall whether or not Boriane had seen it yet or if he'd still been wearing the bandana instead the last time they'd spoken.

He greeted Boriane quietly, looking over the way she'd set up the room. Freaky. What was it she expected him to do for her, exactly?

As a favor for Boriane and to maintain my scarce mental healthiness >_< Maybe the information is useful for the endgame. She tried to keep her face emotionless, but her eyes showed her nervousness and her voice trembled when she spoke. "I've asked you for help because in my body live two souls - my own and the soul of a Thaz-Laraanji demon, servant of the archdemon Dar-Klajid." She pointed to the sign in the middle of the black fabric. "It would take too much time to tell you the whole story, so I keep it short. I acted irresponsibly and caused the more than cruel death of a young woman." That wasn't really the truth, she had only translated a part of an ancient text which allowed the black magician to summon the demon, but since she knew how the woman had died, she considered everything as her own ( ... )

Without another word she knelt down on the sign of Dar'Klajid and released the demon soul as soon as both were in their positions. She closed her eyes and thought of the memory of the Thaz-Laraanji. A wave of despair rolled over her, she felt weak and useless and this opened the way for the demon soul.

The now black eyes opened and a pitiless cold-blooded look hit Naoki. "You think you can stop me, Searcher? Or you, Piano player, who can't even stop his man-eating best friend?" He tried to provoke them; a little carelessness would be enough for him to escape ( ... )
