Despite what she had said, Aya had no intentions to let Cloud come along. He wasn’t in his right mind and with him being constantly concerned for her own safety, it would only get in the way. Besides, as usual, Aya Brea was never a team player, and she didn’t do so well with partners if they planned to just die on her if that fulfilled their so-called “purpose”. Cloud wasn’t exactly the most mentally hinged person in the world anyway ( ... )

Raiel froze, mid-step, suddenly cutting off in the middle of a sentence. The only discernible reason for this was the feeling of fear that descended over him, making the air feel heavier as it wrapped icy-cold fingers around his heart.

He knew this feeling.

It couldn't be the same thing, it couldn't... There was no way, not here, not so far from home and so removed from their destinies. Eyes wide, he turned to look back, like he'd be able to see the source of the feeling somewhere off in the distance.

He would be, if it was...what it felt like.

And he did.

He saw the clouds gathering, the sky growing dark; it was a few blocks away, but he knew it. He knew what that was, knew what was happening.

It was terrifying.

"Hamel," slipped past his lips in a whisper, right before he started running. Not a word or glance for Garnet who had been at his side when the aura of fear fell, no explanation, nothing. Just the urgent need to get to where Hamel was and (hope it was nothing, hope it hadn't actually happened) try to stop him.

Garnet had made several attempts to get Raiel's attention, and all of them failed. It wasn't like him to stop mid-sentence like that, and it did nothing to ease the strange, irrational fear that had begun to creep up on her. In fact, it only made things worse, especially after seeing that look on his face. Growing desperate, she reached out to grasp his shoulder. she did not hear the whisper as he slipped away seconds before she made contact. Scared, confused, she watched his quickly retreating form, her own feet glued to the ground as she tried to stifle the suddenly overwhelming feelings.

That didn't even feel like they belonged to her. By the way Raiel was reacting, it seemed he felt the same. It was only then, after a moment of puzzlement, that her gaze drifted to the sky. Her eyes widened; that was no normal cloud formation, not even for a storm. Something was terribly... terribly wrong ( ... )

Boriane was near Madison Square Park when the sky darkened. Sensing an enormous evil demonic power she froze for a moment. It feels like a demon is rising, hot and evil like Widharcal. Hearing people scream, she started to run towards the park without wasting a thought if it was dangerous.

Boron, Lord of Sleep and Oblivion
the guardian and keeper of the dead,
answer my prayer and grant me protection and peace
before unholy beings, soulless walkers on your land.
I praise the Raven!

She prayed silent when she spotted another person running to the park; a familiar one: Raiel. The high priestess sped up and reached him short afterward. Running alongside of him she asked "Raiel, what in Boron's name is going on?"
