It was starting to get rather boring for her, due to the new crabs and other things that had been going around Rinoa had opted to stay indoors more, especially after the rather small encounter she had with the crabs. But then again she was lucky; she had only sustained some bruises and a slight sprained ankle ( ... )

She pondered on the answer for a bit, her eyes looking at him for a few seconds before a small smile appeared on her face "Something about me?" Her voice echoed softly, remembering that Zone had once told her something along the same lines, when she had asked him why he had trusted her to join the Timber Owls despite her family history "It's not that strange."

And it really wasn't, some people seemed to judge her most of the times based on her appearance and think that she wouldn't be able to hurt anyone and thus trust her, but her closest friends hadn't allowed appearances to lead their judgment of her especially the ones from the Timber Owls and the Garden, she had after all been a girl that had betrayed her father and government, they had seen beyond that to trust her and that was what had made her appreciate them all the more ( ... )

Turn against her? He had no reason to. She wasn't with Deepground, she wasn't with ShinRa, she wasn't with any organization trying to put this world down... betrayal was the worst thing anyone could do in a place like this, and they both knew it. Turning back to her slightly, he nodded once at her words, taking them to heart. ...or, as best as he could.

"I did owe you." He replied, sounding a bit amused. Owed her and ran off to nearly die. He definately had to make up for that happening. "What kind of a person would I be if I just broke a promise?"

A monster.

A freak

Too much backstabbing in the past. Far too much, and he was fed up with it. "You're very soft-spoken. Patient. I can talk to you easily, somehow, and you do remind me of a couple people with all this talk of trust and whatnot." Home, and in the city. His own friends and the friends he made... it seemed strange to think it had all happened in the span of nearly four years now. All of these people...

The world changes in strange ways.

Grey eyes blinked a bit in surprise...he owed her...what exactly did he owed her? Previous to this day, well, they had never seen each other and only talked through the journals and she hadn't done anything for him to think that way, right? Unless he considered the promise he did to come and meet her as that ( ... )

Small victories. Seemed to be growing more and more common as he interacted with people in the city, and while he couldn't do anything majour for them yet, this was a start. Relaxing back onto the seat, he watched her smile and silently wished he could return it. As much as he tried, the feeling would not come. Without Lucrecia, it was difficult to remember how to even be happy...

"Lonely?" He asked, confusion lining his tone. "...how could you be lonely when you have so many friends here? Friends that care about you." He shrugged a bit, attempting to get more confortable in his position. "I'll stay as long as you'd like, Rinoa."

The young sorceress looked at him for a few seconds, feeling like if he was missing something but when he seemed to relax a bit she decided not to ask, she didn't wanted to appear to prying into personal matters for him, maybe later on but not at the moment, besides it felt a bit wrong to ask considering that she hadn’t told him that much about herself anyway.

She flinched and tensed a bit at his question "...I don't know a lot of people here, Vincent; therefore I don't have a lot of friends."

It was the truth, since she had arrived she hadn't met a lot of people, she had been mostly keeping to herself mostly due to her status as a sorceress without a knight, still she attempted to smile a bit at his last comment.

"That's a very dangerous proposition, Mr. Valentine." Slowly and looking a bit teasingly thoughtful she pushed a strand of hair behind her ear "What if anyone wants you to stay forever?"

All things considered, if he was a friend to her, then he wasn't being a very good one thus far. The two had only just met, and talked briefly over the network, but there was still something about it all that seemed... well, normal. Rinoa was trustworthy, and if he didn't appear that way, he would work at it. Being around Cloud and the others had affected him more than he originally thought ( ... )

This was a rather interesting situation, she will be the first one to admit it but then again she had been quite adept at making friends in very fascinating circumstances and this wasn't exactly that odd, as long as she trusted Vincent and he trusted her, well then, she didn’t had any reason to complain about it.

"You're my friend no? And I think you will be a good one, so don't worry about it." She smiled at him, something that was starting to become a bit easier the more time they spent together "Well trust is one of the most important things in a friendship and if we have that we will be fine."

With a slight smirk, she lightly poked his arm, it was maybe an all too familiar action and one that she hoped was friendly enough, she was still trying to figure what was okay to do with him or not "I don't know, I think you're interesting and you’re trying to help, that's more than enough."

A good friend. Well, he wasn't about to turn and gut her if that was the case. Rinoa was different, and yet so familiar at the same time that the entire situation was odd, that he wasn't sure what to say or do to her words.

He was... interesting? He unconsciously turned to his arm when she poked it, curious at what she had meant. Most he had come across labeled him 'freaky', or weird. Interesting? That had definately been a new one.

"What exactly do you mean?" He asked politely. Had nothing better to do, might as well hear her out.

Grey eyes looked at him trying to come up with a way to properly answer his question, which was one that she really wasn’t expecting if she could be sincere and it had startled her a bit, slowly she crossed her arms in front of her chest.

"Well I meant what I said, there's something about you that calls my attention and I can't put my finger on what it is." She started a bit softly and carefully, while she looked away "I find that interesting, in a good way of course."

She hoped that was enough of an answer for him, but it was the truth, she did found him interesting.

Calls her attention? Well... that probably wasn't anything good then. Was there something he'd said to concern people? Either way, it didn't matter now that he was here, and it was still meant to be a friendly visit. One hand crossed over the other on his lap as he leaned forward on his legs, thinking a bit. "Hope it's not anything serious." He joked a little, trying to lighten the mood. "I'm not fond of doctors."

Only one, but. Another story for another time, after all.

"And if it's that, then I'm taken."
