The rain didn't bother her - she'd fought through much worse. Her bomber jacket kept her dry for the most part, though between the wear and tear of battle and the elements, it would wear out soon if she wasn't careful about it (but when was she ever careful about these sorts of things?)

She'd seen the recommendation for armor-piercing rounds on the network, and she'd managed to find herself some - only a few clips, but hopefully regular ammunition would still do enough damage to take down crabs, and she had that in spades. This was a crab hunting trip, and she'd come prepared.

She raised an eyebrow at the question. "You have to ask?" A grin. "I've been ready."

A soft chuckle came from Riku. "Just don't shoot me," he smirked, clearly knowing Rosette wouldn't. "I'll clear the path."

Riku closed his eyes and concentrated a moment. He found that, to a degree, he could prep himself on using the bracelet. A few seconds before a fight and he could use his darkness easier.

The moment he opened his eyes he was rushing forward. The crabs saw him coming and hissed. With jaws wide they lunged. Still with a confident grin on his face, Riku dodged one and let the other chew on his Keyblade before ripping it out of the side of the creature's mouth. He brought his weapon down low to crack a couple legs of the other. One tried to take a bit out of his arm, but missed... Barely. These guys are tougher all right.

"Gee, thanks for the confidence." She returned the smirk. "I'll cover you."

She'd loaded one gun with regular bullets and the second with armor-piercing. She drew the first now in a steady two-handed grip, watching Riku's movements with sharp eyes.

The first crab she aimed at had been one that snuck around back, going in for an unexpected attack. She double tapped - two quick shots to where the head should be. She saw the crab stagger with the unexpected impact...then turn towards her. Damn.

She tried another double tap as the crab bounded towards her.

And another.

The crab finally went down on the seventh shot, skidding to a dead stop. It had taken half a clip to kill one crab.

Well.

She clicked the safety on the gun and holstered it in one smooth motion, drawing the other and clicking the safety off as she did. Time to see how armor-piercing rounds worked.

Two shots behind him and Riku felt mild relief. It meant he didn't have to worry about one. With that, he focused on breaking the legs of his crab. It tried to lunge, but disabled as it was, he could see it coming if he paid attention. But then, as he brought a blow to its head, he heard two more shots go off.

Rosette? He turned, seeing the crab hadn't in fact, gone down, but was going after her. His eyes grew wide, and he found himself a couple yards away when the aggressor finally fell. Riku stood there a moment, breathless.

The screeching behind him told Riku his crab was still as persistent as ever. His expression turning angry, he returned to thrust his Keyblade between the jaw-plate and its body, something easy now that it couldn't move quickly. He twisted his weapon, making sure he was thorough and silenced the creature.

Turning back to Rosette, he was silent for a moment. He knew what she'd say if he asked if she was all right. "...Ready for more?"
