Characters: Larsa and Kida Content: Kida learns of Larsa's sadness over Namine, Larsa learns Kida is queen of Atlantis. Location: East 28th and 5th Street Time of day: Mid-day Warnings: None, save for ROYAL EPICNESS
Larsa hadn't really been expecting visitors, so the knock on his door was a bit surprising. However, he was not one given to making his guests, be they expected or not, stand outside his door, ignored, he strode forward and pulled open the door to a familiar voice. A smile graced his features then as he pulled it open further to allow Kida entrance if she so wished it.
"Is there something I may do for you?" he asked politely, unsure if she needed something from him or just wanted to tell him something kickly.
Kida returned the smile, but she did not enter. At least, she did not at this time. "No, but perhaps the reverse is true."
With a gesture of her head and motion of her spear, she continued, "The sun is warmer today and the flowers are beginning to bloom." There was already an offer in her voice. "It seems you have had much on your mind as of late, Larsa. Would you like to discuss it?" She gestured before placing her free hand on her hip. "Regardless of your choice, I would enjoy your company on a walk."
Larsa paused as he noticed that she didn't come in, but as soon as she made her intent clear, he nodded. "I would be glad to accompany you, though I will need my sword first."
Kida was right, he mused as he hurried around to where he kept his sword belt and fastened it on. A lot was on his mind and while he normally wouldn't have wanted to burden anyone else with his thoughts, he knew he could trust Kida. Placing his worries in her hands would not be a bad endeavor.
Returning with everything he would need while they were out, he stepped outside, closed and locked the door before turning back to her. "To where were your feet carrying you?"
Kida nodded as Larsa retrieved his weapon, glad not just of the company, but that he would also be able to express his worries.
"I am unsure, though perhaps a visit to a park would seem in order. I have yet to visit De Witt Clinton Park, and I have heard there is a view across the river that is beautiful. The far end has apparently seen little destruction."
As the sun shown down warmly, Kida finally asked, "Tell me, how have you been fairing as of late?"
