Cloud thought he had problems, but they paled in comparison to his younger alternate self’s. The boy seemed… fragile, broken, and deeply wounded by something that happened to him in his past, and what had happened to him here only seemed to exacerbate it ( ... )

He pulled the blanket a little further upon his small frame and glanced down, pulling bare feet out of fuzzy blue slippers and sliding them up to the couch carefully, under the warmth of the sheet. A small shiver spread through him, though not entirely because of the cold. This wasn't a topic he enjoyed discussing on a daily basis, and refused to make it on a daily basis.
