His watch said 10:30:54 A.M. The sky said somewhere between 1200 hours and 1300 hours. This discovery was moot, though, as there were other more obvious and pressing issues at hand. Such as, why did he wake up in an abandoned and ripped apart building? In that same vein of questioning, where was he? It was a city, a metropolitan area. The signs were in English. He was obviously still in America.
The city was in utter ruin. Despite being a large metropolis in its better days, the streets were eerily quiet as he walked down them. Wesker wondered what, short of a nuclear bomb, could've wrought such complete destruction. Despite being nothing more than a no-man's land, the agent felt the place was familiar, somehow. The annoying pinch in the back of his mind that said, you should know this place.
His phone was dead. He had no weapons on him. The portable carrier on his wrist for the Red Queen was disabled, and for the first time in 10 years, he felt that familiar pang of hollowness in his stomach.
This would not be a pleasant day.
