As soon as Kang had handed those items to Russel, Fletcher had known his brother would be engrossed in work. He could see it now: Russel would forget to eat, forget to go to bed, fall asleep on his desk, then get right back to work as soon as he woke up. And given how potentially important this was... Could Fletcher really stop him?

He followed Russel to the makeshift laboratory, merely watching as he got everything set up and tested the electrical current. Finally, he spoke up; "Brother, if there's anything I can help with..." He could at least ease some of the burden. That was why he was here.

Swiss Army Knife - check.

Duct tape - check.

Sunglasses - check.

Mac strode into the Library Hotel, all smiles. He had his doubts, sure, but considering what the people found, it might've been worth it after all.

"Hey, Russel!" he called in greeting, pulling up a chair. "I see you're already at work." Without another word, he flipped open his knife's screwdriver attachment and began to help. He had a feeling this would hold a lot of good stuff for them.

"So, amigo, I hear you picked up something fancy," Luis said as he came up behind Russel in the lobby. He looked fairly worse for wear, having just run as fast as he could through the streets of Manhattan, fighting off crabs with nothing but the handgun he kept on him at all times, now tucked in the pocket of his long leather jacket.

"Anything I can use?"

Russel grinned over to Fletcher. It was the kind of grin that he got when he'd stumbled upon a lead in his research. "You might need to translate my notes for our visitors," he said, cocking his head at Mac and Luis. "Because I'm not slowing down for them."

"Hey, slow down, Mac," Russel told him. "We don't know what this thing is yet."

But to Luis, he pointed with his screwdriver. "In that cabinet in the corner, there's some vials. I was going to tackle those after this thing."

Fletcher nodded to Russel, hanging back so as to give the other scientists room. He was pretty small, but he still didn't want to get in the way.

That box looked pretty ominous. Whatever it was used for, it couldn't be anything good, could it?

"Let me know if you get hungry. You won't have to get up, but I'm at least gonna make sure you eat something," he said.
