Kang didn't like being so out of the loop. If Slith were here, he knew his friend would have ferreted out every scrap of information in the damn city, and the bozak was just now realizing how much he relied on others to keep him in the know.

The new clothes that Miwako had provided him with were much more comfortable than what he'd originally had, not to mention warmer, and much less ridiculous. Diego had said that he'd be in Madison Square Garden, and that's where Kang headed with purposeful strides, approaching the table when he got there, "Are you Diego?"

Kang had gone into commander!mode.

If the sight of a real live dragon-dinosaur thing startled Diego at all, there was nothing on what little of his face you could see to show it.

"And you must be Mr. Kang," he said with a grin, rising to his feet and offering a hand to shake. "A pleasure to meet you in the flesh and scales, my friend. Pull up a chair. Coffee?"

What in the Abyss was that thing on the human's face? Questions like that were going to have to be put on hold, however; there were far more important things to discuss.

Kang took Diego's hand in his and shook, then sat down in one of the chairs, "The Mr. isn't necessary, and no thank you." He paused, then leaned back slightly, "I'm afraid I'm rather new to Manhattan, and I don't have much information on events that have happened here before."

"That's all right. I'm a regular native at this point and I still don't know too much," he replied without a beat, grinning widely. "But if you've got questions, I'd be happy to answer them. The more witnesses you interview, the better the case, after all."

He was lucky to have found a long, hooded cape while he had been searching the theaters, and he made good use of it now pulling the hood as far up as it would go in order to hide his face, and pulling the cape itself as closely around his body without having to hold it as he could (the wings would be too recognizable if he allowed them to show, he was sure of it). He wanted to be of assistance to this city somehow--he had spent far too much time remaining distant from its problems and had too many halfhearted attempt in the past--but he could not allow himself to be recognized ( ... )

Diego had a look over this masked character. He didn't particularly like a man who wore a mask-- if you were going to represent yourself to the world, you might as well reveal your true face. That was one of his rules.

The visor did not count, it was a medical apparatus.

"That depends what sort of information you're looking for," he said with a grin.

He chuckled lightly. He had a feeling Diego would be suspicious. A man who kept secretive was hardly someone to be trusted in an already distrusting environment. "I only want to know what information you have on the disappearances. Or any theories if you would prefer. I want to help, but as of this moment I can do little else but ask," he replied.

((>.O Gah... Sorry for extremely short post, augh.))

Casey had been trying to figure out what she was going to do through this whole escapade. She knew she wasn't going to go to Central Park. No way, not her. She wasn't a physical fighter, she fought with her words...well, she did anyway.

She found herself at Madison Square Garden, seeing a group of...odd...characters. First, someone who looked like a lizard that was fed miracle grow...that was something she didn't see everyday, but of course, Manhattan was ever changing. But what really caught her eye was a guy wearing a toaster on his face talking to a guy with a mask on.

She sighed and hung her head. People were so strange here anymore, including lizard-on-miracle-grow. Walking over, she decided to see if she could find out any information too.

"Excuse me, but do you know what the current plans are for finding everyone?"

Much as Odd was reluctant to leave the cathedral, the expanding topic of people gathering together and acting piqued his interest. He had been in this city long enough to know that disappearances such as these weren’t an everyday occurrence, and when it involved one of his friends... it was personal. And this time, they had taken someone who meant a lot to Odd. They had taken Garnet.

From the very start, Odd had promised himself to look after her. Even if he hadn’t told her this, even if she didn’t entirely agree to it, Odd took it upon himself to look after her. He had been the one to help her off the streets when she first showed up. He had been there for her when she needed a confident. He was there when she had done harm to herself.

And now, in a time where it seemed like she needed him and her friends the most, they were powerless to do anything to help her. Instead, they were gathering in nice little organized meetings, talking it out. Still, within that court, he quietly took a seat and waited. From the looks of how few ( ... )

There was so much going on, she wasn't sure what to make of it. All she knew was Mystic Mia was missing. So was Harry, and several other people. While she had little to contribute, all she could do is make sure the searchers were taking care of themselves. It had been a long day for everyone, so she decided it fell to her to make sure people kept their strength and spirit up. So she'd brought an electic hot water pot, lots of her favorite teas, and as much food and snacks as she could fit in a backpack and duffel bag. It wasn't as nice as a dinner at the Strand, but there were some sandwiches in and among the packaged chips and cookies ( ... )

Rushing had never done any good in the past. Not for Odd, anyway. So he didn’t have any problem with patience. If he did anything that could compromise the safety of those who had been taken by acting rashly, that would be on their heads. Odd hoped to make that clear to any of those who dared to wander off into Central Park ( ... )

The smile grew a bit when he at least accepted the sandwich. It looks like she had yet to escape the stigma of sharing her sister's face. Ah well. If people wanted to trust her, they would. It was just that simple. She set the styrofoam cup in the seat's cupholder, and shrugged off her backpack. "I have turkey and ham, both with regular American cheese. And I have some little mayonaise and mustard packets." She shifted some bags of chips aside, before getting to the insulated lunch bag in the bottom that contained the sandwiches. "I have a bunch of bags of chips too."

Mitsuki could care less about those who'd disappeared. She could care less if they were ever found. But this was a game... and one that she was very good at playing. Sliding in and out of the shadows, she quickly made her way from Bryant Park Hotel to Madison Square Garden.

As she slid out of the shadows one last time, her white heels began clicking against the floor. She managed to smooth out her black mini dress as she made her way to the meeting area. In one hand she was thumbing through her PDA, her other hand was clutching a notebook and pencil case.

Any information given in this meeting, any clues found... They'd all be useful in the end. The shock white hair and odd facial gear of their organizer wasn't hard to miss. She saw him when she was still yards away from the group. She slowed her pace to a more leisurely speed and stopped just feet away from the others. "You didn't have too much fun without me, I expect?"

Holding her right arm where the wound was, Meyrin made her way to Madin Square Garden. She knew that the bite was poisonous, but also that now wasn't really the time to ask for a healer.

Still, this was turning out to be the worst week of her life. First, giving up on finding Athrun, then getting bitten, and now this. Meyrin was downright miserable at this point, and if anyone were to bug her now, she couldn't even pretend to be all right.

At least not everyone was in a panic over this. Her time as a soldier had taught Meyrin to keep a level head during stressful times--and the fact she didn't really know any of the missing persons helped.

In any case, her time as a soldier had also made her unwilling to sit around while this kind of thing was going on. Besides, she needed the distraction.

And so, she hung around the area, waiting to see if anything would happen.

Kincaid was usually prepared to work on his own. Things went a lot more smoothly that way, although if someone hired him (and could afford him), it wasn't like he'd object. Money was money, despite what other people said, and it could buy a lot of things. And it helped that he was damn good at what he did.

Detective skills, however, were outside of his field of expertise. A certain wizard had more skill in that area. And the fact that this Manhattan had taken a strange beating from an even stranger monster (and oh, wouldn't he love to hear the conspiracy theories behind that one) hadn't helped at all.

He glanced over at the pink-haired girl who was favoring one side as she entered into Madison Square Garden. For the most part, he had only quietly walked around, carefully listening in on different parts of people's conversations. However...

"You should get that checked out," he drawled, raising his eyebrow by the tiniest fraction.

Meyrin gave a start when someone spoke to her, before calming herself down. Without meaning to, she clutched her wound harder, causing her to wince. A blotch of red appeared on her sleeve, as the blood leaked through the makeshift bandages she had wrapped around the bite.

"Ah... I will," she replied. "Eventually. But now's not really the time for it."

It wasn't as if she could go around, asking for treatment when everyone was worried about the missing people. In Meyrin's eyes, her injury wasn't a top priority. While it was poisonous, yes, she knew the poison wasn't instantly fatal. She still had time.

No emotion passed through his eyes as he caught sight of the blood soaking through the bandage. Honestly, he wasn't there to hold anyone's hands if they were too stubborn to take care of themselves.

Instead, he only shrugged. "Suit yourself," he replied breezily, and just like that, he switched the conversation to something else at hand, "You know anybody who's gone missing?"
