Whether it was because of all the information or her new surroundings, Chao Lingshen found it very hard to sleep. She knew she was exhausted, especially since her arrival was shortly after suffering defeat in a large battle, but sleep was just not coming to her no matter how hard she tried.
Maybe another cup of tea will put her mind and muscles at easy. She silently made her way downstairs, careful not to wake anyone as she made her way to the kitchen. The pink nightgown didn't exactly match with her in terms of fashion, but she wasn't one to complain.
It's when she caught the sight of the girl dancing, that Chao froze and watched with amazement. Leaning against the wall with her arms folded, she quietly watched the girl make such fluid movements in her dancing and smile curled onto Chao's face. Whoever this was certainly had a talent.
When the music was done and the dancer made her last pose, the martian couldn't help but give a well-deserved applause to the show, grinning happily at Ahiru.
"Qu--!" Tutu very quickly lost her poise as she slammed her hands over her mouth when she nearly quacked in surprise. It had been quick enough, thank goodness. Her transformation held.
Recovering a little from the sudden scare, she regarded the girl in the dim light with surprise in her eyes. She'd had no idea someone had been there watching. "H-how long have you been there?" she asked softly. She wasn't angry in the least, just surprised and curious more than anything. Ahiru wasn't even sure who the girl was. She hadn't seen her before.
Chao took a few steps forward, walking into whatever light there was so the girl wouldn't be frightened. She winked at Ahiru, a smile still on her face as she replied.
"Long enough to know you certainly have talent. Where did you learn to dance like that?"
Ahiru really wasn't frightened. She'd been just caught off guard more than anything. Then again, it wasn't hard to to startle Ahiru.
Blushing slightly, she stuttered for a moment as she tried to think of an answer, as she hadn't really learned anywhere. When she became Princess Tutu she merely did it. "Um, ah, thank you! I... didn't really learn anywhere," she finally replied, hoping that would suffice.
