Makoto swore as she found herself on a strange street, with no light. She had been on her way back to the hotel she was staying in when all the lights completed died. From what she could see, it was all over the city...and then the roaring started. It was faint because of where she was, but it was still creepy. She sighed, looks like she was a source of light for the moment.

"Jupiter Crystal Power, Make up!" She shouted, starting the henshin she was so familiar with. Holding out a now gloved hand, she conjured up a small ball of lightning, just enough to see with, because she knew that anything bigger would wear her out, and quickly.

"Hello? Is there anyone out there?"

A roar, from somewhere in the distance. The shouting of a voice -- a girls, by the sound of it -- and a strange light. The flashlight swung from side to side, catching on buildings and dented old bus-stop-signs.

Zoom in, a girl, holding a ball of crackling light.

After seeing a kid who wielded a gigantic key, maybe this wasn't all that strange. Still weird, but there were more important things right now.

"Hey, Miss!" he called out, waving the flashlight.

Hope this is okay - if not, let me know <3 feelmywhip March 28 2009, 04:39:56 UTC
Franziska was outside her complex when the outage occurred and as soon as it happened, the doors locked and no amount of whipping, pulling, or yelling could get them to open. Whip gripped in her left hand, she flicked it at the doors time and again, trying to open them. It was times like these that she could have done with Miles Edgeworth's company, though she would never have admitted that aloud.

After a while, she began walking. Maybe she'd find someone who could keep her company.

Camera in one hand, flashlight poised in the other, Mark covered the street with a sweeping motion, a beam of light swinging back at forth. Rumbling, and roaring, like a horrible B movie soundtrack. Nerve wracking, and enough to have Mark on his toes, flashing the light occasionally up toward the sky, the camera following.

"Can't be sure where that sound is coming from, but you can bet we all know what it's coming from," he narrated, until his light swept over the form of a young woman up ahead. He held it still then, the light beaming into her face.

"Hello? You alright?"

Franziska hadn't really expected to meet anyone, even if she had been hoping for it. So when the light began to shine in her face, she lashed out with her whip in the direction of the light, bringing her right hand up to shield her eyes from it.

"A foolishly foolhardy fool foolishly asks a foolhardy question," she snapped in response, the Franziska way of telling her companion that he was an idiot for having to ask such an obvious question. The answer was 'no.'

((OOC: generally in canon she never misses with her whip, but it's up to you if she does or not / what she hits. Also, she's left-handed.))

SNAP! he felt the whip more than saw it, cutting through the air, and striking the hand that held the flashlight.

"Augh!" cried Mark, as the flashlight clattered to the ground, the beam rolling around as he hissed. "What the hell was that for?!"
