Cloud had left the hotel without much fanfare. He didn't want Aerith caught up in this.

He walked to where he said he'd meet Sephiroth, a lead pipe griped in his hand. It was the best thing he could find on such short notice.

He was going to defeat him, he was going to finish this once and for all.

"Here I am, Sephiroth!" He called when he spotted him on the street sign,

Sephiroth spotted the blonde arriving down the road and grinned silently to himself, sliding off the street sign to gently hover down, wings flapping slightly. Leather boots padded against the concrete, and the silver-haired man drew the longsword with a clink.

"I can see that." He replied flatly, then added as if he were reading the other man's thoughts, "You do really believe you can defeat me, even here? Even if I fall... I will return."

He stepped foward.

"Because of you, your friends are in constant danger."

The sword clinked again.

"Because of you, everyone suffers..."

And he lunged.

"Because of your darkness."

Cloud cringed at Sephiroth's words. He didn't want to believe him, but some part of him couldn't help but believe it. Still, he protested.

"No! Shut up!" He yelled, "You're wrong!" It wasn't Cloud's fault, it was Sephiroth's it just had to be.

When Sephiroth lunged Cloud brought up the pipe to block the attack.

Sephiroth inwardly swore when the attack was blocked - by a pipe, no less! - and swung again and again, hoping to break through the other man's defenses. "Am I?" He replied, dark aura appearing in his hand with a bit of strain, ready to cast a Heartless Angel his way. After the effect it had on that clone, just stunning the blonde for a few moments would leave an opening.

"You're the one who's always running. You're the one putting them in danger, Cloud." He grinned darkly. "You are the source of their pain, not me."

Spell complete, he quickly cast it on the other man.
