For a while, she'd been a good person. Minded her own business. Done nothing to attract attention, done nothing that ended in a bloody way. For a while, she'd been good.
It didn't change the fact that she was a bad person prone to doing very bad things.
But she could be good for a while. Odd and a few others had requested it, and Ginger rather liked Odd.
So when the man she didn't know was gaping at the broken buildings like an idiot, she didn't sneer at him overly much. She asked, "Can I help you?" like a nice, normal person was supposed to ( ... )

So he had finally gotten to the park area, where he saw two humans. He figured he'd pay them some mind, one looked confused (and totally out of his element). The other looked... odd. Even by his standard that all humans here were just a bit weird. So the little rodent watched patiently from a short distance away to see if he could be of assistance. If not, he would continue his plan to play in the park. As this city was very cold and he wanted some nature in his life.

"Oh, howdy ma'am," he said. "Name's Brisco. Brisco County Jr. This is gonna sound a little crazy, but ah... What year is this?" he asked, a little sheepish. It was an embarrassing question to have to ask. Hopefully, she wouldn't think he was entirely off his rocker.

"It's 2008, far as I know," she said. The man looked like many things, none of them terms that could be deemed polite, and talked like a...cowboy. Well. There had been stranger things, she supposed. "You're new here?"
