To keep himself occupied and from going out to see if he could meet his friend halfway, Guy had given in to the urge he had ever since laying his eyes on the unusual fontech they had in this world. Meaning he'd taken one of the computers and pulled it apart to see what made it tick. He was anxious to see Luke and he felt this was the only way to keep himself from moving.

Waiting was different this time. Nothing like the time at Aramis Spring and the month he hadn't seen Luke was a very different one than when everyone had split off because they thought the battle was over. He'd known Luke was safe in the mansion then...the month that had passed now had been full of uncertainties. Not that he had doubted the promise, he had strongly believed his friend was alive but there were always the dreadful what ifs...

To find Luke on a completely different planet certainly wasn't what he had been expecting but he wasn't about to complain. He was safe. Not to mention the fontech here was quite interesting too ( ... )

Luke couldn't help but laugh at the sight of his friend sitting on the floor surrounded by, what he was pretty sure, was one of the computers. He'd figured Guy would love all the fontech-like stuff here, and he'd been definitely right.

Grinning from ear to ear, he approached to meet Guy. "Boy, you're a sight for sore eyes," Luke said, as he looked over his friend. He really didn't look any different -- at all. Seeing him here though was a little surreal, but certainly was certainly a welcome sight either way.

It also made him realize even more just how much he missed Auldrant, and everyone he cared about. Hopefully he wouldn't keep them all waiting too long.

"Glad to be of service." Guy replied as he stopped in front of Luke, his own grin almost matching Luke's in size. Talking to Luke over the computer had been quite surreal to Guy but now that the boy was standing right there before him, looking so real and alive, he had no choice but to believe it. Dreams couldn't be this vivid, right? Still...

Guy reached out and for a moment he hesitated, as if touching Luke would make him disappear, but eventually settled his hand on the younger boy's shoulder with a warm smile and a gentle squeeze of assurance. Luke was solid. Real. Here.

"It's good to see you."

He noticed Guy's hesitation and hardly blamed him for it. The idea he could be dreaming had passed his mind too, but any remaining thoughts of that were put to rest when he felt the weight of Guy's hand on his shoulder.

It was definitely his friend here before him.

"You too," Luke replied before glancing past Guy, to look at the mess that had been created on the floor.

He found himself chuckling again, "Couldn't resist, huh?"
