Another argument over nothing. Foolish enough to keep on, to keep his pride, James had earned himself yet another night, pillow tossed out after him, door slammed in his face. He never tried to get back in. Just gave it as a lost cause and wandered the halls of the Cathedral or wherever until he literally gave in to exhaustion. He knew his way around by now

Much as it still did deeply hurt, Odd didn’t want to think about it anymore. If he could, he’d put it all behind him.

Odd slumped down to the ground shortly after the landing, taking a breather. Every inch of him ached and all he wanted was to just lie down and sleep a year. He glanced to Sunderland, making sure he was still awake, still with him.

“Seems we’re just a sorry pair, aren’t we, sir?” Odd managed a wry smile, figuring it best to keep his roommate talking and conscious. “It’s okay, I know you are, and I accept your apology.”

About time someone did, anyway.

“Let’s just get you taken care of.”

Composed, Odd rose again, helping Sunderland to his feet as well and started dragging their sorry selves back into the cathedral.
