There was all too much to think about. The kid, the magician, Tomoyo-hime's frightening long silence...Kurogane didn't like having those thoughts chasing one another around and around in his mind, so he was rather glad to come upon a distraction in the form of some odd-looking, white-haired guy and a woman, young and tense and maybe scared, too. That tension surrounded them, and if he had to guess he'd presume that the threat was from the man, whose smile seemed permanently fixed and whose hands weren't balled to hide their shaking, as the woman's were.
Not that he showed anything. For all that he had the sword he'd taken from the museum resting against his shoulder as he walked--a habit to carry it everywhere in this city, what with the demons and him simply feeling better armed--he could not have noticed either of them at all until he was almost right on top of them.
Still he said nothing, his gaze shifting from one to the other--then he casually shortened the distance between him and the woman with a single step.
